The car rain line is mainly used to simulate the natural rainfall environment and test the car's rainproof sealing performance. It is an indispensable testing equipment for the new car to go offline. This paper combines the actual work, taking the Chery company's four-factory shower line as an example, expounds its equipment selection and rain intensity detection methods, and summarizes the design experience of the rain line.

The overall requirements of the rain line:

1) The design of the rain line should meet the requirements of the rain test standard in QC/T 900-1997.
2) The spray length of the rain section is guaranteed to be L=16m, the solid length of the rain section is 18m, and the length of the drain section and the blow section is 12m.
3) The moving mode of the whole vehicle in the rain and drying is carried out by double-sided slab conveyor.
4) The equipment is integrated with the rain test and the body blow dry.
5) When the rain is inspected, the rain intensity on the top of the car body is 15~19mm/min; the rain intensity on the side of the car is 11~15mm/min. In addition to meeting the above requirements, the equipment does not require a bottom spray function.

Rain line structure

The car rain line is an important device for body seal detection. It is mainly composed of conveyor chain, shower room, sprinkler system, blow drying system and control system.

(1) The conveyor chain is used to transport the whole vehicle that needs to be tested for rain. It is generally composed of a head wheel device, a plate, a chain device, a tail wheel tensioning device, a frame, a track and a driving device.
(2) The test area formed by the rain chamber is isolated from the non-test area. The composite wall structure is generally adopted. The inner layer is made of galvanized sheet, the outer layer is colored steel plate, the middle is filled with sound insulation material, and the skeleton is welded with steel. There are 1000×600mm2 glass windows on both sides of the chamber body for observing rain showers. The top of the shower room is made of waterproof double-tube fluorescent lamps, which are sealed and insulated by safety glass and shower room. The maintenance of fluorescent lamps is carried out outdoors.
(3) The sprinkler system produces simulated artificial rainfall, which consists of a water pump, a filtering device, a return tank, a return pool, a sink, a pipeline, and a nozzle. The spray water is pumped from the suction pool by the water pump, and is sprayed from the nozzle through the filter into the pipeline, and flows back into the water tank to flow back into the pool. The sediment is filtered through the return pool and enters the suction pool for the next cycle.
(4) Blow dry system vehicle After the rain test is completed, the test surface water of the vehicle body is blown dry to ensure the vehicle is clean. There are two types of blow drying: cold air and hot air. The rain test chamber adopts a strong cold air structure. The principle is that when the air flow speed reaches a certain level (25 m/s or more), the water on the vehicle body forms a water mist from the vehicle body. The blow drying system consists of a fan, a bellows, a duct, and the like. The strong wind generated by the fan is filtered and distributed into the air duct by the bellows, and evenly blown on the surface of the test vehicle to separate the water from the vehicle body.
(5) The control system consists of control appliances, flow meters, pressure gauges, etc., and adjusts and controls the vehicle test time, rain intensity, and injection pressure.

Shower room parameters

According to QC/T900-1997 automobile vehicle quality inspection and assessment method, the main design parameters of rain shower laboratory are rain shower standard area, rainfall intensity and injection pressure.

(1) The standard area of ​​rain shower is determined by the spray length and the width of the chamber of the rain test chamber, namely: spray length L, chamber width M, area S=LM.
(2) Rainfall intensity refers to rainfall per unit time. Rainfall intensity test for automobile rain seal test: The rain intensity at the top of the car body is 15~19mm/min; the rain intensity on the side of the car is 11~15mm/min.
(3) The injection pressure GB/T12480-1990 specifies an injection pressure of 69 to 147 kPa.
